The Ball State men’s swimming & diving team returns to action Sunday at the Butler Invitational. Rounding out Ball State’s event winners was junior Landyn Riester who touched the wall in 1:44.22 in the 200 freestyle to top teammate senior Ryan Short by 0.01 of a second in the closest race of the day. The final two-event winner was Wolfred who took first in the 100 freestyle at 47.69, before combining for the win in the 200 freestyle relay to cap the meet. Handshoe followed with BSU’s final individual victory, clocking in at 50.96 in the 100 butterfly. Pheifer was the first, clocking in at 52.91 in the 100 backstroke. It was the first of a team-leading four event wins for Garberick, who would go on to sweep the breaststrokes with a time of 57.97 in the 100 and 2:07.98 in the 200.
